Thing#7

I wanted to follow the suggestion to post to another blog, but I was unsuccessful. Even though I have a registered blog when I tried to comment on Ellen's blog it told me I was not a "member". It identified me as Patricia (google), but said I was not a member and could not post. I'll have to find out what went wrong.

Flickr #6

This all looks like a lot of fun - for an art class or a graphics class or even for an English class. In a language class, the focus is going to be on the use of words. I can see times when images to illustrate or inspire might be appropriate, but the time taken to learn and do it for the students does not seem realistic to me. I'm happy to know it's there if I have time to "play".

Flickr

I'm not sure I would ever use Flickr as my own photo-organizing tool. It works just like uploading my photos to Walgreen's site and organizing them into albums and then sharing. It does have a blogging feature, but I already have one blog goinig already, now don't I? The most interesting feature to me was the one where you can search places. I search for my husband's hometown in Spain and found a beautiful picture of the new bridge there. The link is http://www.flickr.com/places/Spain/Galicia/Orense . I can see that I might use this instead of google images at times.

Getting back to business

After a busy end of the semester I'm going to take another stab at getting this finished. Good luck, Granmama!

Week 1 Thing #2 Life long learning

I spent far too much time working on my avatar - but I think anybody would recognize me now. It was good practice in following directions. It occurs to me that maybe blogs are going to replace our current webpages in many ways.
I have to admit that I hurried through the first few "things" because I was anxious to get to the blog. It just looked like fun - and for me that's really the hook with technology. It has to be fun. I have comments on the 71/2 habits of life-long learners, but I'll save those for the next post.

Very rudimentary, bare bones, but it's done! Now to think of some content. . .
